Sitting on the No.1 spot of the global Shazam charts for the past couple of weeks is Nico & Vinz's smash hit entitled "Am I Wrong" knocking off John Legend's "All Of Me." The track is definitely making a lot of steam as it also climbed its way to the top 10 of the Billboard 100. Nico & Vinz are an international music sensations who have already set the European entertainment scene on fire.
To give you a bit of a background on the two, Nico & Vinz are from Oslo, Norway, the singing/songwriting duo, made up of Nico Sereba and Vincent Dery has tapped into the heart of global culture by writing and performing songs that joyfully speak of life, love and identity. Their debut at the Emengeza Festival last 2010, where they won first place for new, emerging artists, has paved the way for them to make their names at the Scandinavian charts thanks to their electrifying performances and outstanding videos. Following that huge achievement is another one, the two earned them a Spelleman Award (Norwegian equivalent to a Grammy) for their debut single, "One Song" last 2011.
But it's their "Am I Wrong" single that's giving them all the international attention. To date, it already has a 20x-platinum combined certification in Scandanavia. It's their unique sound, born of their eclectic backgrounds as both Africans and Norwegians combined with the summery feel and standout music video that sets them apart from all the pop songs today.
