You'll hopefully remember Greyson Chance as the young kid who killed and became a phenomenon with his version of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi.
Now, he's all grown up and he's back with an upcoming album, Planet X, which is far different from his 2011 debut, Hold On 'Til The Night. Greyson has been teasing his fans like crazy over his return that he is taking in his own hands. Finally, the special day has arrived for the young singer! "Thrilla in Manila" has finally been dropped as his first single off his long awaited new album.
The 16-year-old musician premiered the new single with Billboard, telling them about the track. "'Thrilla in Manila' is a funk track that speaks of turmoil between friends when relationships get romantic," he shared. "Sonically, it perfectly teases the sounds of my new album."
The singing sensation was said to be inspired from the 1975 boxing match between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier for the single. It's also safe to say that Manila is probably really close to his heart as he has a huge fan base here, if you guys can still remember, Chance staged a spectacular sold-out show at the Araneta Coliseum back in 2012.
He released the track on Soundcloud and you can check it out down below. It's deeply funky, catchy and it will make you want to dance to the beat. Enjoy!
Details of Chance's Planet X album are forthcoming.
