He reminds you of Michael Buble, he can channel Justin Timberlake and grooves smoothly like Enrique Iglesias! This young lad just has what it takes to be the next charming crooner! Meet The Voice Kids finalist Juan Karlos Labajo who held his first solo concert "JK: A Birthday Show" at Teatrino Promenade last February 20!
The mostly female crowd filled the venue with cries and shrieks that only an appealing headturner can inspire! Looking sharp in a black suit, JK kicked off his show with his take on the song "Feeling Good"!
JK continued casting his spell as he took off his jacket before singing and dancing to "Runaway Baby"! Though Valentine's Day has long passed, the 14-year old crowd pleaser made the night special when he said that "I can be your Valentine's date..."
JK then showcased his vocals with big songs, adding his own style to it! He slayed with his version of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me", Hozier's "Take Me To Church", and Ed Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud."
He also performed the song that started it all, his audition piece "Grow Old With You"! He proceeded to sing Rihanna's "Stay" and surprisingly mashed it up with "Sway".
Taking a break from his grooves and moves, he went mellow and touched everyone's hearts that night starting with A Great Big World's "Say Something".
Sitting in a stool, he sang 2 tunes closest to his heart! JK related that he feels the spirit of his late mom on stage whenever he sings "The Man Who Can't Be Moved" by The Script. He also broke down in tears during his rendition of Rey Valera's classic composition "Kahit Maputi Na Ang Buhok Mo"!
After his overwhelming performance, the teen heartthrob returned to the stage with a medley of APO Hiking Society songs "Yakap Sa Dilim" and "Mahirap Magmahal ng Syota Ng Iba"!
Nearing the end of his show, a birthday cake lit up the stage for Juan Karlos who turned a year older last February 5!
He then brought eveyone dancing to their feet as he sang "Pompeii" by Bastille, "All About That Bass" by Meghan Trainor and "Sunday Morning" by Maroon 5.
The young charming crooner was ecstatic that he successfully pulled off his first solo concert during our MYXclusive interview. Check out the concert highlights in the video below:
