These words best describe BOB -- a new breed of pop/alternative OPM band whose only goal is to perform and make music for everyone.
MYXph.com got the chance to get to know them a little bit more with a MYXclusive interview.
BOB, composed of Bob (vocals), Ron (guitar), Gale (bass), Lowell (drums) and Jhunjie (keyboards) told us a little story on how they started out.
"Nagstart talaga na kaming dalawa lang ni Ron, acoustic lang," shared vocalist Bob. "Nakulangan kami sa tunog so naghanap kami ng magkakahon, which is Lowell. Nung trio na kami, parang kulang pa rin. So yung kapatid niya (Lowell) which is si Gale, marunong daw mag-bass. Sinubukan namin ng kaming apat, tapos on our way na-meet namin si Jhunjie, so naging lima na kami, full band na," she added.
For those of you who do not know, Jhunjie is originally from the band Cueshé, known for their hit songs "Borrowed Time," "Stay," "Ulan," to name a few.
According to BOB, they want the people to know them as the "banda kung saan solid ang samahan. Makikita nila pag tumugtog kami, mararamdaman nila na nag-eenjoy kami sa ginagawa namin."
Just recently, the band has already launched their very first music video for their single "Pelikula," which as of writing already has almost 15,000 views on YouTube.
"Itong kantang ito, para sa mga taong nagmamahal, mga umaasa. Punung-puno siya ng emosyon. May saya, may sakit. Lahat ng istorya ng pagmamahal makikita mo dito," said Bob.
As for the music video, Bob said, "Iba-ibang istorya siya ng relasyon. May malungkot, may masaya, may nag-aaway. Para 'to sa mga tao na 'uy, istorya ko ito ah.'"
