In a two-minute clip posted by Spotify, Niall Horan explained the story behind his first solo single "This Town." The Irish lad confirmed that the track was indeed inspired by his hometown.
"I was able to tie it in with a love story. It's a real-life honest story," Niall explains how in a small town, whenever you go home, "there's the girl that you fell for when you were 12. You nearly turn yourself into that 12, 13-year-old again by saying a line like 'If the whole world was watching, I'd still dance with you.'"
"No matter how far you go, no matter where you are, no matter what you do, everything comes back to you...that's where that line came from," the 23-year-old One Direction member added.
